About the Conference
The healthcare system in India is still in its infancy, struggling to reach out to the majority of the population that remains unaware and unguarded against the health hazards. The response to health problems has always been reactive than proactive. It is not only a question of finances but also that of an attitude. A complete change in approach is required to make health a priority in the lives of our people. The recent trends in the healthcare system in India have generated a lot of hope and optimism towards making the society health conscious. The idea of healthcare needs to be marketed even before marketing the healthcare initiatives. This calls for an immediate attention to the marketing and communication strategies involved in this endeavour.
Realizing the importance of communication and marketing in healthcare systems, the Center for Media and Marketing Communication Research (CMMCR) has decided to organize a conference on November 7-8, 2008.
