| The Global Fund | The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a global public/private partnership dedicated to raising and disbursing large amounts of additional finance to prevent and treat the three pandemics. The Global Fund has so far committed more than US$11 billion to over 520 programs in 136 countries. The vacancy is in the Secretariat of the Global Fund. The Secretariat manages the grant portfolio, including executing Board policies, disbursing money to grant recipients and implementing performance-based funding of grants. The Secretariat is also tasked with resource mobilization; providing strategic, policy, financial, legal and administrative support and overseeing monitoring and evaluation. It is based in Geneva and has no staff located outside its headquarters. The Global Fund is looking for staff with a strong commitment to health and development, an open mind-set, entrepreneurial and flexible attitudes as well as strong interpersonal skills. |  | | Role Summary & Key results expected | The Senior Co-Investment Officer will report to the Civil Society and Private Sector Partnerships Manager. The Senior Co-Investment Officer’s role is to: (1) support the private sector to set up, implement and monitor co-investments (2) coordinate the relationship between the private sector, technical partners and governments regarding grant implementation; (3) serve as a focal point for private sector engagement in grant implementation across the Secretariat and with external partners. The Co-investment Project Manager will work closely within the Secretariat to ensure the development and implementation of private sector co-investment programs in a manner consistent with country needs. |  | Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities | The Senior Co-Investment Officer will: - Work closely with Country Programs teams and regional Private Sector officer to ensure integration of private sector and civil society partnerships in grant implementation;
- Encourage private sector participation in Country Coordinating Mechanism Manager(CCM), and encourage the development of co-investment schemes;
- Support companies to formalize their own co-investment strategies;
- Establish links between companies and technical partners (multilateral, bilateral, NGOs, etc.) for co-investment program formalization, implementation and monitoring;
- Facilitate the building of relationships between the private sector and Ministries of Health and National AIDS Control Commissions;
- Formalize best practices to increase the number of co-investment partnerships and the development of private sector and civil society involvement in Global Fund programs, and contribute to data management on private sector involvement in GF grants.

PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications and Membership | Essential: - Advanced degree in Management, Public Health, Administration or related field.
|  | | Experience | Essential: - Seven to ten years of professional experience, with significant project management experience in developing countries;
- At least two years project management experience in co-investment programs, or related experience;
- Strong understanding of private sector policies regarding health issues and corporate social responsibility
|  | | Technical skills and competencies | Essential Skills: - Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong negotiation and diplomatic skills.
- Understanding of global and local policy issues impacting co-investment schemes and private sector engagement in grant implementation.
