Senior Programme Manager

As a Senior Programme Manager the team member will primarily be responsible to ensure quality implementation of the project assigned to him and to provide supervisory assistance to the Programme Managers. Specific responsibilities of the Senior Programme Manager are noted hereunder.

• Assist Programme Managers in micro-planning of the programme activities and budget
• Assist Programme Managers towards enhancing the quality of programme implementation, monitoring and reporting
• Assist in the development and implementation of tools to provide conceptual strengthening, technical support to NGOs for programme implementation and its monitoring
• Assist Programme Managers in undertaking review of the NGOs and making appropriate decisions related to day-to-day running of the programmes
• Ensure that the projects/programmes are running per the agreed schedule/work-plan of the programme with respective donors
• Undertake monthly review of the programmes and provide feedback to Programme Managers in line with the programme plan and indicators
• Undertake networking and advocacy activities with relevant authorities and organisations to support the programme activities
• Assist the Programme Managers in preparation and submission of high quality programme reports to the Donor
• Assist Programme Managers in preparation and submission of their monthly work-plan and report
• Undertake relevant administrative and managerial responsibilities and ensure quality delivery thereof

Eligibility

• Post graduate degree from a recognised Institute/University
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing multi-site programmes with a minimum of 3 years of working in the area of HIV/AIDS
• Experience in managing MIS and generating relevant reports
• Proven command over documentation and communication in English
